After you create a KEC instance, you can change its configurations, including the CPU, memory, system disk size, and data disk size, based on your business needs.
Applying configuration changes may take a time. We recommend that you select the configuration type that best suits your business needs. The following table describes the supported configuration types and their details.

Note: The upgrade of a KEC instance in Running state does not interrupt services. After the upgrade, you need to restart the KEC instance to make the configuration take effect. The restart process will interrupt services.
Configuration upgrade
Log in to the KEC console. The Instance page appears by default.
Find the KEC instance that you want to upgrade in the instance list, and then choose More > Resource Adjustment > Change Configuration in the Operation column.
In the Change Configuration dialog box, change the configurations and click OK.
After you change the configurations of your package, the capacity of the system disk and data disk can only be expanded offline.
In the Confirm Configuration Change dialog box, click OK to submit the order and pay.
Online scale-out
Log in to the KEC console. The Instance page appears by default.
Find the KEC instance that you want to upgrade in the instance list, and then choose More > Resource Adjustment > Change Configuration in the Operation column.
Enter the expected disk capacity after the expansion. If online scale-out is supported. select Online Scale-out. Otherwise, offline scale-out is performed by default. Then, click OK.
In the Confirm Configuration Change message, click OK to submit the order and pay.
You cannot downgrade the configuration of KEC instances that use the Subscription billing mode.
Log in to the KEC console. The Instance page appears by default.
Find the KEC instance that you want to downgrade in the instance list, and then choose More > Resource Adjustment > Change Configuration in the Operation column.
Change the configurations and click OK.
In the Confirm Configuration Change dialog box, click OK to submit the order and pay.
Hot upgrades apply to instances that are created based on images of CentOS 7.5 or later, Ubuntu 18.04 or later, and Windows (64-bit) 2016 or later.

Find the General Purpose N2 instance that you want to upgrade and choose More > Resource Adjustment > Change Configuration in the Operation column.
In the Change Configuration dialog box, change the configurations and click Hot Upgrade.
After the configuration changes are complete, the new configurations immediately take effect.
