A launch template stores the configuration of a series of launch settings. It allows you to quickly create KEC instances without repeatedly setting KEC parameters. A launch template contains all configuration information, such as the type and network settings of an instance, other than passwords.
You can create up to 50 launch templates for each region within a single account.
You can either create a launch template beforehand or save one when you are creating an instance.
If you do not have to create KEC instances, you can create a launch template beforehand and then use the template to quickly create instances as needed.
Log in to the KEC console.
In the left navigation pane, click Instance Launch Template.
Click Create Template on the page that lists launch templates.
On the Create Instance Launch Template page, set parameters step by step, including Basic Configuration, Network Configuration, and System Configuration.
For more information about how to set parameters, see Create an instance.
In the System Configuration step, enter the name of the template and click Create Template.
The system begins to create the launch template. After the creation is complete, a page is displayed to prompt the successful creation.
If you want to save the configuration of a KEC instance so that you can use the configuration to create more instances of the same configuration at a later time, you can save a launch template when you are creating the instance.
Log in to the KEC console.
In the list of KEC instances, click Create Instance.
On the page for creating a KEC instance, set parameters step by step, including Basic Configuration, Network Configuration, and System Configuration.
In the System Configuration step, click Save as Launch Template in Launch Template.
In the dialog box that appears, enter the name of the template and click OK.
The system begins to create the launch template. After the creation is complete, a page is displayed to prompt the successful creation.
Choose your operation as needed:
Log in to the KEC console.
In the left navigation pane, click Instance Launch Template.
In the list of launch templates, find the template to be modified and click Modify Template in the Operation column.
Click the name of a configuration section or the corresponding Modify Template link to go to the configuration page and modify parameters.
Log in to the KEC console.
In the left navigation pane, click Instance Launch Template.
On the page listing the launch templates, perform the following operations as needed:
