Create an ENI

This topic describes how to create elastic network interfaces (ENIs) in the VPC console and the KEC console. You can create ENIs separately and attach them to KEC instances, or create ENIs when you create KEC instances.

Prerequisites

• You have created a VPC and subnets in the target region. For more information, see Create a VPC.
• You have created a security group in the VPC. For more information, see Configure a security group.

Procedure

Create an ENI separately

1. Log in to the VPC console.

2. In the left navigation pane, click ENI.

3. On the page that appears, select a VPC and region at the top as required.

4. Click Create ENI. In the dialog box that appears, set VPC, Subnet, IPv4 Address, and Security Group, and then click OK.

Create an ENI when you create a KEC instance

1. Log in to the KEC console. The Instance page appears by default.

2. Click Create Instance. On the page that appears, set related parameters and click Next.

3. In the ENI configuration area, click Add Secondary ENI and set related parameters. The ENI will be created when the current instance is created and automatically attached to this instance.
