Modify an automatic snapshot policy

Last updated:2021-08-04 11:26:31

You can modify existing automatic snapshot policies. The new policies take effect immediately. However, because you can generate no more than one snapshot for each disk every day, you must consider the time to generate the next snapshot for the disk when you are modifying an automatic snapshot policy. If an automatic snapshot has been generated for the disk on the day based on the original policy, no more snapshot can be generated for the same disk based on the newly attached policy until the next snapshot time.

Procedure

  1. Log in to the KEC console.

  2. In the left navigation pane, choose Snapshot > Automatic Snapshot Policy.

  3. Find the policy that you want to modify and click Modify Policy in the Operation column.

  4. In the Modify Policy dialog box, perform the following operations:

    • Enter a policy name.
    • Select the date on which you want to automatically create a snapshot.
    • Select a snapshot time. The available range is 00:00 to 23:00. The default value is 00:00.
  5. Click OK.
