Recycle bin for KEC instances

Last updated:2021-08-04 11:26:31

Kingsoft Cloud allows you to recycle KEC instances. After an instance is deleted, it is retained in the recycle bin for a period of time, during which you can restore it.

When the instance enters the recycle bin, it is forcibly stopped. After it is restored, you must restart it in the console.

When the instance is recycled, its mounting relationships with SLB, EIP, EBS, and tags are also forcibly canceled. Ever after the instance is restored, these relationships will not be resumed and you will have to configure them once again.

After the instance is retained in the recycle bin for more than the retention period, it will be permanently deleted and cannot be restored.

Precautions

The General Purpose N1, N2, and N3, Compute Optimized C4, and Standard S4 KEC instances support the No Fees Upon Shutdown mode. If these instances are temporarily not required, you can enable the No Fees Upon Shutdown mode without recycling them. For more information, see Enable No Fees Upon Shutdown.
