Purchase a reserved instance package

You can purchase reserved instance packages to offset the bills of Pay-As-You-Go instances.

Precautions

You can apply for a full refund for a reserved instance package within five days of purchase. The prepaid fees are fully refundable, but the on-demand fees are non-refundable. After the refund application is successful, the full refund service will no longer be available. The full refund service does not apply to purchases over five days.

Procedure

1. Log in to the KEC console.

2. In the left navigation pane, click Reserved Instance Package.
3. On the Reserved Instance Package page, click Purchase Reserved Instance Package.

4. Set parameters and click Buy Now.

   During the configuration, pay attention to the following parameters:

   • Data Center: Only VPC data centers are supported. For more information, see Regions and availability zones.

   • Type: Kingsoft Cloud provides instance types based on the underlaying hardware. The higher-end the series, the higher the instance performance. For more information about instance types, see Instance types.

   • Operating System: Select Linux or Windows based on your business needs.

   • Validity Period Of Reserved Instance Package: Select 1 Months, 3 Months, 6 Months, 1 Years, or 3 Years.

   • Offset Instances: Enter a value as needed. The maximum value is 100.

   • Payment Type: Select All Upfront Payment or Partial Upfront Payment as needed.

5. Click Submit Order to submit the order and pay.

   If your account balance is insufficient, choose Billing > Recharge in the upper-right corner of the page, enter an amount, and then click Confirm.
