Kingsoft Cloud Standard Storage Service (KS3) allows you to bind custom domain names to your buckets. Then, you can access the objects in the buckets by using the custom domain names. This allows you to seamlessly migrate your data to KS3 and protect the security of KS3 domain names. After a custom domain name is bound to a bucket, you need to add a CNAME record to map the custom domain name to the public domain name of the bucket. Then, you can use the custom domain name to access the bucket.
For more information about the limits on domain name binding, see Bind domain names in the Developer Guide.
Log in to the KS3 console and click Bucket in the left navigation pane. On the page that appears, click the name of the target bucket.
On the page that appears, click Bucket Settings. On the Bucket Settings tab, click Domain Name Binding.
Click Add domain name. In the Add domain name dialog box, enter the domain name to be bound and click OK.
Note:
- If you do not apply for an ICP filing for the domain name, the binding will fail.
- If the custom domain name has been bound to another bucket in the same region within the current account, you must unbind it first.
- If the custom domain name has been bound to a bucket within another account, you must modify the TXT record of the domain name server to verify the domain name ownership, so as to unbind the domain name from the previous bucket and forcibly bind it to the current bucket. For more information, see [Verify the domain name ownership](#Verify the domain name ownership).
Log in to the domain name server and add the corresponding TXT record.
