To meet different data access frequency and cost requirements, KS3 provides the following storage classes:
Standard storage: Provides general-purpose object storage services. Standard storage is applicable to frequently accessed data with hot contents that requires a lower delay and higher throughput, for example, audio, video, picture, and static website resources.
Low frequency storage: Applicable to business scenarios where data needs long-term storage but are infrequently accessed. Low frequency storage can provide a millisecond-level delay while reducing the storage cost. It allows for high-speed instant data retrieval. However, infrequent access storage requires a minimum storage duration of 30 days. Deleting an object with a storage duration less than 30 days incurs an early deletion fee. In addition, a data retrieval incurs a data retrieval fee, whether from an internal network or external network.
Archive storage: Applicable to business scenarios where data needs to be stored for a long time but rarely needs to be accessed. Compared with standard storage and infrequent access storage, archiving storage can provide the same data reliability and service availability at a greatly reduced cost. However, it takes 1 to 10 minutes of restore time for data to enter a readable state. Therefore, archiving storage is suitable for data that needs long-term storage, such as medical images, archives, business logs, and video materials. Archive storage requires a minimum storage duration of 90 days. Deleting an object with a storage duration less than 90 days incurs an early deletion fee. In addition, a data retrieval incurs a data retrieval fee.
