1. Pay-As-You-Go billing examples 2. User examples
For example, the Standard storage usage of a user on the first day of a month (30 days) is 60 TB, and the Standard storage usage on the next day is 100 TB. Then, as of the second day of the month, the total storage fee equals the Standard storage fee on the first day of the month plus the Standard storage fee on the second day of the month.
Where:
Standard storage fee on the first day = 60 × 1024 × 0.12/30 = CNY 245.76
Standard storage fee on the second day = 100 × 1024 × 0.12/30 = CNY 409.6
The daily expenses for the month are calculated based on this logic. After the end of the month, the accumulated storage bill for the 30 days of the month is provided for the user.
Progressive billing based on the outbound traffic and fixed unit price is adopted, with a calendar month as the billing cycle.
For example, if 300 TB of downstream traffic is generated when a user accesses KS3 over Internet in a month, the traffic fee that the user needs to pay is: 300 × 1024 × 0.40 = CNY 122,880
If a user activates the Kingsoft Cloud CDN service, and 200 TB of traffic is generated when CDN nodes retrieve resources from KS3 in a month, the traffic fee that the user needs to pay is: 200 × 1024 × 0.15 = CNY 30,720
If a user accesses Standard storage in a month, the total number of PUT requests is 10,000, the total number of GET requests is 10,000, and the total number of DELETE requests is 10,000, the total monthly request fee of the user is: 0.01 + 0.01 + 0.01 = CNY 0.03.
Data retrieval fee for IA storage: The data retrieval fee is calculated based on the volume of data generated when a user reads objects from KS3, whether over Internet or internal network. For example, a user downloads 100 objects from IA storage of KS3, and each object is 100 GB in size. Then, the total data retrieval fee is: 100 × 100 × 0.04 = CNY 400.
Data retrieval fee for Archive storage: Fees are incurred when you restore Archive storage objects and are charged based on the size of objects after restoration. No data retrieval fees are charged if you restore objects that are in the restored state. For example, a user restores a 100-GB object stored in Archive storage of KS3. After the object is restored, the total data retrieval fee is: 100 × 0.06 = CNY 6.
Mr. Wang stores 500 GB of Standard storage objects in Bucket A of KS3. The average number of requests per hour is 1000, and the outbound traffic of the day is 3 GB. Then, the fees that Mr. Wang needs to pay on the day are:
Storage fee: 500 GB × CNY 0.12 per GB per month/30 days = CNY 2
Request fee: 1000 requests per hour × 24 hours × CNY 0.01 per 10,000 requests = CNY 0.024
The total fee of the day is CNY 3.224.
Mr. Liu stores 3 TB of IA storage objects in Bucket B of KS3, and downloads 1 GB of objects on the day. Then, the fees that Mr. Liu needs to pay on the day are:
Storage fee: 3 × 1024 GB × CNY 0.08 per GB per month/30 days = CNY 8.192
Request fee: The number of requests is small, and the request fee can be ignored.
Data retrieval fee: 1 GB × CNY 0.04 per GB = CNY 0.04
The total fee of the day is CNY 8.632.
