Manage projects

You can allocate buckets to different projects, to grant permissions, identify fees, and manage buckets by project.

Before you allocate buckets to projects, you must maintain the project information. For more information, see Manage projects.

The buckets without project information will be allocated to the default project by default.

Specify the project when you create a bucket

1. Log in to the KS3 console and click Bucket in the left navigation pane. On the Bucket list page, click Create Bucket.

2. In the Create Bucket panel, select a region, enter a bucket name, select a project to which the current bucket belongs, a storage type, and an access permission, and then click OK.

Note: A Kingsoft Cloud account can create buckets in any projects. If an Identity and Access Management (IAM) user is authorized to create buckets, the IAM user can create buckets only in the project to which the IAM user belongs.

View the project to which a bucket belongs

On the Bucket list page, click the name of the target bucket. On the Bucket Details tab, you can view the project to which the bucket belongs in the Basic information section.

Note: A Kingsoft Cloud account can view the project information of any buckets. If an IAM user is authorized to query buckets, the IAM user can only view the project information of buckets in the project to which the IAM user belongs.

Change the project to which a bucket belongs

On the Bucket list page, click the name of the target bucket. On the page that appears, click Bucket Settings. On the Basic settings tab, click Edit for Project Manager. Select a project and click Save.

Note: A Kingsoft Cloud account can select any project for a bucket. An IAM user can select only the project to which the IAM user belongs for a bucket.

List buckets by project

Log in to the KS3 console and click Bucket in the left navigation pane. On the Bucket list page, select the target project from the Project(ALL) drop-down list.

Note: A Kingsoft Cloud account can list the buckets in all projects. An IAM user can list only the buckets in the project to which the IAM user belongs.
