Before you upload objects to Kingsoft Cloud Standard Storage Service (KS3), you must create a bucket to store the objects. You can configure various attributes for a bucket, including the region, access permissions, and other metadata.
In the KS3 console, you can view and manage buckets, and delete buckets if you no longer need them.
Note: The bucket name must conform to the naming rules and be unique in KS3. After a bucket is created, the bucket name cannot be changed.

Note: A non-Archive bucket stores Standard and Infrequent Access (IA) objects. You can access such objects without the need to restore them. An Archive bucket stores objects that are stored for a long time and rarely accessed. To access such objects, you must restore them first.
If you no longer need a bucket, delete it to avoid unnecessary fees. Before you delete a bucket, make sure that all objects in the bucket are deleted. Otherwise, the bucket cannot be deleted.
