Delete snapshots

You can delete snapshots if you no longer need them or you reach your snapshot quota. The deletion of a snapshot does not affect the EBS volume based on which the snapshot was created or other snapshots created based on the same EBS volume.

Procedure

1. Log in to the EBS console.
2. In the left navigation pane, choose Snapshot > Snapshot List.
3. On the page that appears, click the EBS tab.
4. On the EBS tab, select the snapshot that you want to delete and click Delete.

You can also select multiple snapshots and delete them at a time.
