With the architecture of three distributed replicas, EBS provides stable and efficient random access capability that comes with 99.9999999% data reliability.
A single EBS 3.0 volume can provide a maximum of 25,000 input/output operations per second (IOPS) and 256 MB/s I/O throughput. The latency of EBS 3.0 is less than 2 ms.
EBS supports elastic capacity expansion to meet the requirements for increasing storage space. The capacity of a volume can reach up to 32 TB.
Data protection can be implemented at the logic layer by using snapshots to restore business data if it is misoperated, deleted, or tampered with.
