Configure scheduled deletion of snapshots

Last updated:2021-09-08 22:07:21

Snapshots can be used for data backup and disaster recovery. When you create or manage snapshots, you can configure scheduled deletion for the snapshots as needed. Scheduled deletion of obsolete snapshots releases capacity and reduces usage costs.

Precautions

  • After you enable scheduled deletion for snapshots, the system automatically deletes the snapshots at the specified point in time.
  • After you manually set a scheduled deletion time for a snapshot and then turn off the scheduled deletion switch, the snapshot status is changed to permanently saved.
  • The scheduled deletion time must be at least 60 minutes later than the current time.
  • You cannot set the scheduled deletion time for snapshots from which a custom image is created.
  • If you manually set a scheduled deletion time for a snapshot for which an automatic deletion time is set, the earlier time between them prevails.
