Snapshot

Overview

Kingsoft Cloud GPU Elastic Compute (GEC) instances support snapshots, which allow you to back up your data at any time. For example, you can back up your data before you perform important operations, and restore the data after the operations.

Note: You can create snapshots only for instances in the Running or Stopped state.

Create and delete snapshots

1. Create snapshots.
2. Create an automatic snapshot policy to back up your data regularly. Modify an automatic snapshot policy when needed.
3. Delete snapshots or delete automatic snapshot policies when you no longer need them.

Use snapshots

• You can restore your disk data to the state when the snapshot was created. For more information, see Roll back to a snapshot.
• You can also set automatic snapshot policies for disks.
