GEC instances support the following billing modes:
- Subscription: This is a prepaid billing mode. You must pay a one-time fee for one month, several months, or several years. This billing mode is applicable to scenarios in which the device demand is estimated in advance. The price of this billing mode is lower than that of the Pay-As-You-Go billing mode. However, resources cannot be released on demand.
- Pay-By-Daily-Config: This is a postpaid billing mode. Billing is performed by day. Usage less than one day will be calculated as one day. This billing mode is suitable for 24/7 services, business burst, and temporary expansion testing, and supports resource release at any time. The unit price is higher than that of the Subscription billing mode.
- Pay-As-You-Go: This is an elastic billing mode. Billing is accurate to seconds. No fee needs to be paid in advance. A settlement is made every hour on the hour. This billing mode is applicable to scenarios where the demand will fluctuate dramatically in an instant, for example, e-commerce snap-up scenarios. The unit price is higher than that of the Pay-By-Daily-Config billing mode.
The billing mode restrictions and usage guidelines for GEC instances are the same as those for KEC. For more information, see Billing modes of KEC instances.
