Restart an instance

Overview

You can restart Kingsoft Cloud GPU Elastic Compute (GEC) instances in the console. Restarting an instance is equivalent to restarting the operating system of a local PC. If a GEC instance cannot be restarted, you can use the Forced Restart feature.

Precautions

• Only instances in the Running state can be restarted. If an instance is in the Stopped state, you must first start the instance before you can restart it.
• Restarting an instance will cause the instance to stop running and interrupt your business. Proceed with caution.

Procedure

1. Log in to the KEC console.

2. Select one or more instances that you want to restart from the list, and then click Restart.

3. In the Restart Server dialog box, select Restart or Forced Restart as the restart mode. If you select Forced Restart, you must also select Confirm Forced Restart.

4. Click OK.
