Delete an IAM group

This topic describes how to delete an IAM group that is no longer needed.

Precaution

After you delete a group, all IAM users are removed from the group, and all permissions are revoked from the group.

Procedure

1. Log in to the IAM console.
2. In the left navigation pane, choose Identities > Groups. The Groups page appears.
3. Find the group that you want to delete and click Delete in the Actions column.
4. In the message that appears, click OK.
