Create an AccessKey for an IAM user

Last updated:2021-10-29 17:57:41

This topic describes how to create an AccessKey for an IAM user. After the AccessKey is created, the IAM user can access Kingsoft Cloud resources by using API operations or other development tools.

Precaution

To ensure your account security, we recommend that you create an AccessKey for each IAM user instead of your Kingsoft Cloud account.

Procedure

  1. Log in to the IAM console.
  2. In the left navigation pane, choose Identities > Subusers. The Subusers page appears.
  3. Click the username of the target IAM user, or click Details in the Actions column. The User details page appears.
  4. On the Safety management tab, click New Key.
  5. In the message that appears, view the AccessKeyID and SecretAccessKey.
  6. Download or copy the AccessKey information and save it.

You can view the SecretAccessKey only when you create the AccessKey. You cannot query the SecretAccessKey. Therefore, properly save the SecretAccessKey.
If your AccessKey is disclosed or lost, create another one. You can create up to two AccessKeys for an IAM user.
