Enable removal protection for a KEC instance

If you do not want Auto Scaling to remove a certain KEC instance from a scaling group during scale-in, you can enable removal protection for the KEC instance.

Procedure

1. Log in to the Auto Scaling console.

2. In the left navigation pane, click Scaling Group.

3. Select a region from the top navigation bar.

4. In the scaling group list, find the scaling group that you want to modify, and click Manage in the Operation column.

5. Click the Associated KEC Instance tab.

6. Find the target KEC instance and click Set Removal Protection in the Operation column.
