Manage scheduled tasks

Last updated:2021-05-21 17:43:02

A scheduled task scales out or scales in KEC instances in a scaling group at a specified time based on the predictable changes of business load.

You can create, modify, and delete scheduled tasks in the Auto Scaling console.

Create a scheduled task

To create a scheduled task, you must specify the start time, and the minimum, maximum, and expected numbers of KEC instances in the scaling group. When the specified time arrives, Auto Scaling adjusts the number of KEC instances in the scaling group based on the configuration.

You can create a scheduled task that is executed only once or periodically.

  1. Log in to the Auto Scaling console.

  2. In the left navigation pane, click Scaling Group.

  3. Select a region from the top navigation bar.

  4. In the scaling group list, find the scaling group that you want to modify, and click Manage in the Operation column. The details page of the scaling group appears.

  5. Click the Scheduled Task tab. The list of scheduled tasks for the scaling group appears.

  6. Click Create to create a scheduled task.

  7. In the Create Scheduled Task dialog box that appears, set the parameters of the scheduled task. If you want to create a scheduled task that is repeated periodically, specify the start time, repetition plan, and the end time. When the specified end time arrives, Auto Scaling stops executing the scheduled task.

  8. Click OK.

  1. In the scaling group list, find the scaling group for which you want to modify a scheduled task, and click Manage in the Operation column. The details page of the scaling group appears.

  3. Find the scheduled task to be modified and click Modify in the Operation column.

  4. In the dialog box that appears, you can change the task name, adjust the execution time, set the repetition of the scheduled task, and modify the scaling group activity.

  5. Click OK.
