You can disable a scaling group if you want to modify your application without triggering scaling activities in scenarios such as checking configurations, stopping KEC instances to reset passwords, or upgrading your application.
When a scaling group is disabled, it does not automatically trigger scale activities, but limits on the scaling group still apply.
When a scaling group is disabled, the following activities cannot be triggered:
Scheduled task execution
Health check
When a scaling group is disabled, the following limits still apply:
If the number of KEC instances in the scaling group is less than the minimum number after you manually remove KEC instances, the KEC instances fail to be removed.
If the number of KEC instances in the scaling group is greater than the maximum number after you manually add KEC instances, the KEC instances fail to be added.
When the scaling group is disabled, the existing KEC instances are still running and you will continue to incur charges.
Log in to the Auto Scaling console.
In the left navigation pane, click Scaling Group.
Select a region from the top navigation bar.
In the scaling group list, find the target scaling group and click Disable in the Operation column.
In the dialog box that appears, click OK.
Check the status of the scaling group. The scaling group is in the disabled state.
After you perform the required operations, you can enable the scaling group again.
In the scaling group list, find the target scaling group and click Enable in the Operation column.
In the dialog box that appears, click OK.
