Create an SLB instance

Last updated:2021-05-26 16:59:48

This topic describes how to create an SLB instance.

  1. Log in to the SLB console.
  2. Click Create SLB.

  3. On the page that appears, configure the SLB instance based on your requirements.
  • The Network Type parameter specifies the network type of the SLB instance. A private SLB instance uses an endpoint subnet to balance the traffic load in a virtual private cloud (VPC). A public SLB instance must be bound to an elastic IP address (EIP) and balances the load of inbound traffic from the Internet.
  1. If you set the Network Type parameter to Private Network, click Buy Now and Submit Order in sequence. If you set the Network Type parameter to Public Network, click Next: Bind EIP, bind the SLB instance to an EIP, and then click Next: Confirm Configuration. You can purchase and bind a new EIP, bind an existing EIP, or choose not to bind an EIP. Note: If you do not bind an EIP, the SLB instance does not distribute traffic for load balancing.

  2. Confirm the configuration and click Buy Now and Submit Order in sequence. Then, you can view the created SLB instance in the SLB console.
