Term Description
Server Load Balancing (SLB) The network load balancing service provided by Kingsoft Cloud. SLB distributes traffic to backend servers.
Listener The SLB listener, which has the following parameters: listening port, load balancing policy, health check, and forwarding mode. Each listening item corresponds to one backend application service. You can bind real servers to a listener.
Real server (RS) The backend server that receives traffic distributed based on the configured rules.
Virtual IP address (VIP) The service address assigned by the system, which is an IP address. You can choose whether to open the IP address to the public to create a public or private SLB instance.
