Agent installation for EPC

This topic describes the procedures of installing the Cloud Monitor Service agent for an EPC instance.

• Install the agent on CentOS

• Install the agent on Ubuntu

• Install the agent on Windows

Install the agent on CentOS

1. Download the RPM package.

   #sudo wget https://ksc-cloud-monitor.ks3-sgp.ksyuncs.com/public/elfin-epc/elfin-epc.ksyun.el7.x86_64.rpm

2. Install the agent.

   #sudo yum install elfin-epc.ksyun.el7.x86_64.rpm

3. Add the EPC instance ID to the .instance_id file in the etc directory. This example uses 9ee10b2c-c65d-41fb-bb05-3243f246de9a as the EPC instance ID.

   #sudo echo "9ee10b2c-c65d-41fb-bb05-3243f246de9a" > /etc/.instance_id

Install the agent on Ubuntu

1. Download the installation package.

   #sudo wget https://ksc-cloud-monitor.ks3-sgp.ksyuncs.com/public/elfin-epc/elfin-epc.debian.amd64.deb

2. Install the agent.

   #sudo dpkg -i elfin-epc.debian.amd64.deb

3. Add the EPC instance ID to the .instance_id file in the etc directory. The following example uses 9ee10b2c-c65d-41fb-bb05-3243f246de9a as the EPC instance ID.

   #sudo echo "9ee10b2c-c65d-41fb-bb05-3243f246de9a" > /etc/.instance_id

Install the agent on Windows

This example uses Internet Explorer.

1. Download the installation program.

   a. Open the browser, click the tools icon, select Internet options, and then click the Security tab. In the Select a zone to view or change security settings section, click Trusted sites.

   b. Add the trusted site https://ks3-sgp.ksyuncs.com.

   c. In the browser, type https://ks3-sgp.ksyuncs.com/ksc-cloudmonitor/elfin-epc-setup.msi, press the Enter key, and then click Run.

2. Click Next to complete the program installation.

3. Check the installation result in the Windows task manager.

   Make sure elfinepc appears in the background processes.
