Agent installation for KEC

This topic describes the procedures of installing the Cloud Monitor agent for a KEC instance.

Install the agent on CentOS

This section applies to CentOS 6 and CentOS 7.

  1. Download the RPM package.

    https://ks3-cn-beijing.ksyun.com/ksc-cloudmonitor/elfin-stable.ksyun.x86_64.rpm
  2. Install the agent.

    rpm –ivh elfin-stable.ksyun.x86_64.rpm
  3. Verify that the agent starts correctly.

    /etc/init.d/elfin status
    • The following figure shows that the agent starts correctly on CentOS 6.

    • The following figure shows that the agent starts correctly on CentOS 7.

Install the agent on Ubuntu

This section applies to Ubuntu 12.04 and Ubuntu 14.03.

  1. Download the installation package.

    https://ks3-cn-beijing.ksyun.com/ksc-cloudmonitor/elfin-stable.amd64.deb
  2. Install the agent.

    sudo dpkg -i elfin-stable.amd64.deb
  3. Check the installation result.

    sudo systemctl status elfin

Install the agent on Windows

This example uses Internet Explorer.

  1. Download the installation program.

    a. Open the browser, click the tools icon, select Internet options, and then click the Security tab. In the Select a zone to view or change security settings section, click Trusted sites.

    b. Add the trusted site http://ksc-cloudmonitor.ks3-cn-center-1.ksyun.com.

    c. In the browser, type http://ksc-cloudmonitor.ks3-cn-center-1.ksyun.com/elfin-1.1.1/Elfin-1.1.1-6.ksyun-Setup.msi, press the Enter key, and then click Run.

  2. Click Next to complete the program installation.

  3. Check the installation result in the Windows task manager.

    Make sure Elfind.exe appears in the background processes.
