Upgrade process

This topic shows you how to upgrade a KAD instance.

Upgrade rules

Elasticity

  • Anti-DDoS capability: Upgradable. After the upgrade, the free back-to-origin bandwidth and highest capability increase accordingly.

  • Highest capability: All instances can be upgraded. After the upgrade, the highest anti-DDoS capability increases accordingly.

  • Number of ports: Upgradable. Each KAD instance can be configured with up to 800 ports.

By Times

  • Number of ports: Upgradable. Each KAD instance can be configured with up to 800 ports.

Effective time

The upgrade configuration takes effect immediately.

Billing

KAD instances are billed on a daily basis at the new package price from the day when the upgrade takes effect. For example, if you activate a one-month 30 Gbit/s package on January 1, which is upgraded to 100 Gbit/s on January 10, then the billing will be based on the daily price of the 30 Gbit/s package from January 1 to 9, and on the daily price of the 100 Gbit/s package from January 10 to 30.


Procedure

  1. Log in to the KAD console.
  2. Select the KAD instance that you want to upgrade, and click Upgrade.
  3. In the dialog box that appears, set parameters as needed.

  4. Click Buy Now to complete the payment process.
