A dedicated KEC instance is a KEC instance created on a dedicated host. A dedicated KEC instance can be customized and configured within the available resources of a dedicated host based on your needs. Functions of a dedicated KEC instance are the same as those of a common KEC instance. All operations on a common KEC instance are applicable to a dedicated KEC instance.
A dedicated KEC instance can only be created on a dedicated host, and each dedicated host supports up to 70 dedicated KEC instances.
Access from the page of the dedicated host list
Log in to the KDH console.
Find the target dedicated host and then click Create Dedicated KEC Instance in the Operation column corresponding to the dedicated host.
Access from the page of the KEC instance list
Log in to the KEC console.
Click Create Instance to go to the instance creation page.
On the page that appears, click the Create Dedicated KEC Instance tab.
You can specify the cluster and host to which the new dedicated KEC instance belongs.
The new dedicated KEC instance does not support disaster tolerance groups.
The purchase duration of the dedicated KEC instance is the same as that of the dedicated host where the instance resides.
The dedicated KEC instance is automatically assigned the project of the dedicated host where the instance resides.
The new dedicated KEC instance can have custom configurations, such as allocation of CPU, memory, and data disk size. The customization rules are:
Unlike a common KEC instance, a dedicated KEC instance supports both the upgrade and downgrade of CPU, memory, and data disks. The procedure to adjust the configuration is as follows:
