Install an operating system

When you purchase or reinstall an EPC instance, you must specify the operating system to be installed. Optional operating systems provided in the EPC console have been tested and certified by the server vendor and Kingsoft Cloud to ensure that EPC instances can run normally in data centers.

Install the operating system when you purchase an EPC instance

  1. Log in to the EPC console. The EPC instance page appears by default.

  2. Click +EPC to go to the page for creating a new EPC instance.

  3. In the Select Image step, select the desired image. For more information about steps of creating an EPC instance, see Create an EPC instance.

Reinstall the operating system

The operating system of a non-standard leased server cannot be reinstalled, while the operating system of a standard leased server can be reinstalled online.

  1. Log in to the EPC console. The EPC instance page appears by default.

  2. Find the target EPC instance, and click Reinstall System above the EPC instance list or choose More > Reinstall System in the corresponding Operation column.

  3. Select the desired image, bonding type, and RAID type, and then click Next.

  4. Select the SSH key, set the administrator password, and then click OK.
