Security groups

Use security groups

  • Create a security group
  • Log in to the KRDS for MySQL console, click Security Group in the left navigation pane, and then click Create.

    The Create security group dialog box appears.

    Set the Security group name and Security group description parameters and click Create. 安全组1.png

  • Delete a security group
  • Log in to the KRDS for MySQL console, click Security Group in the left navigation pane, select a security group, and then click Delete.

    Note: Before you delete a security group with associated instances, go to the details page of the security group, click the Instance management tab, and then dissociate all the instances.

  • Clone a security group
  • Log in to the KRDS for MySQL console, click Security Group in the left navigation pane, find the security group that you want to clone, and then click Clone in the Operation column.

    In the Clone security group dialog box, set the Security group name and Security group description parameters, and click Clone. A security group is generated. The new security group contains the same IP addresses as the original security group.

  • Manage IP addresses in a security group

    On the Security Group page, click the name of a security group or click Manage in the Operation column to go to the Security group details page.

    The IP management tab appears by default.

  • Add IP addresses of KEC instances under the current account to the security group
  • Click Add host IP. In the Add IP rule dialog box, select the IP addresses that you want to add and click Confirm. The selected IP addresses are added to the security group.

  • Manually add IP addresses to the security group
  • Click Add IP. In the Add IP rule dialog box, manually enter the IP addresses that you want to add. After you enter an IP address, press the Enter key to enter another IP address in a new line. After you enter all the IP addresses, click Confirm.

  • Delete IP addresses from the security group
  • On the IP management tab, select the IP addresses that you want to delete and click Delete. 安全组5.png

    Manage instances in a security group

  • Associate instances with the security group
  • On the Security group details page, click the Instance management tab, and click Add.

    In the Add Instance dialog box, select instances from the list of high availability, standalone, and read-only instances under the current account, and click Confirm. The instances are associated with the security group.

    Note: This list contains only the high availability, standalone, and read-only instances that are not associated with security groups. If you want to add an instance that has been associated with a security group, go to the details page of the security group and manually dissociate the instance. You can also go to the Instance Security Group page of the instance, click Set security group, and then set a new security group for the instance.

  • Dissociate instances from the security group
  • On the Instance management tab, select the instances that you want to dissociate and click Unbind.

  • Set a security group for an instance
  • On the details page of an instance, click Instance Security Group in the left navigation pane, and click Set security group.

    安全组9.png In the Set security group dialog box, select a security group from the list of security groups under the current account, and click Confirm.

  • Dissociate a security group from an instance
  • On the Instance Security Group page, select a security group and click Unbind security group.

    You can also go to the Instance management tab of a security group, select one or more instances, and then click Unbind.

  • Export security group information
  • To export security group information such as the IP addresses and associated instances, go to the security group details page, select one or more IP addresses or instances, and then click the Export icon.
