Delayed live streaming allows a certain delay between the moment a stream gets pushed to a server and the moment the live broadcast begins. Delayed live streaming gives auditors the time to review the live streaming content to prevent undesirable images or speech that may jeopardize social stability and security from being broadcast. The National Radio and Television Administration of China mandates that all TV programs with live audience be delayed for at least 20 seconds. Delayed live streaming is by no means the same as recorded broadcast. Recorded broadcast is to play a complete program at specified time. The program has been recorded and edited in advance as required and stored in storage medium.
Delayed live streaming gives auditors some time to review the to-be-broadcast content. In this way, undesirable images or speech that may jeopardize social stability and security can be discovered in advance and prevented from being broadcast.
The delayed live streaming feature of Kingsoft Cloud Live Service (KLS) provides a delay of 1 to 5 minutes. This gives ample time for auditors to inspect the live streaming content to ensure secure and healthy broadcast content. Delayed live streaming will support a delay of up of 1 to 30 minutes in the second phase. Please stay tuned.
A source stream is a live stream that has not been delayed. It can be sent to auditors for content auditing to ensure content safety.
