Kingsoft Cloud Network Address Translation (NAT) allows the Kingsoft Cloud Elastic Compute (KEC) instances and Elastic Physical Compute (EPC) instances in a Virtual Private Cloud (VPC) to access the Internet. Kingsoft Cloud NAT supports multi-instance hot standby, automatic failover, up to 20 IP addresses, a maximum bandwidth of 15 Gbit/s for a single IP address, and over 100 million concurrent connections.
Kingsoft Cloud NAT translates private IP addresses in a VPC to public IP addresses, and allows the KEC instances and EPC instances that are not configured with public IP addresses to access the Internet. Moreover, Kingsoft Cloud NAT can prevent external devices from actively accessing the KEC instances and EPC instances in the VPC. Kingsoft Cloud NAT applies to the following scenarios:
Internet access that requires large outbound bandwidth and high availability: Kingsoft Cloud NAT is applicable to scenarios where the customer requires a large outbound bandwidth, uses a large number of public IP addresses, or deploys a large number of services that need to access the Internet.
Secure Internet access: Kingsoft Cloud NAT provides secure IP address translation. Kingsoft Cloud NAT allows the KEC or EPC instances in a VPC to access the Internet while concealing the public IP addresses of these instances, so as to protect the network deployment from being exposed.
Source NAT (SNAT): allows the KEC instances and EPC instances in a VPC to access the Internet.
High performance: provides a forwarding capability of up to 15 Gbit/s per IP address.
High availability: supports multi-instance hot standby and automatic failover.
The NAT gateway is located at the border of the Internet and the VPC and connected to the router of the VPC, as shown in the following figure. When resources such as KEC instances in the VPC send data packets to the Internet, the data packets are first sent to the router for routing based on the routing policies. Then, the NAT gateway sends the data packets to the Internet by using the NAT IP address as the source IP address.
If the purchased outbound bandwidth is less than 50 Mbit/s, a maximum inbound bandwidth of 50 Mbit/s is allowed. If the purchased outbound bandwidth is equal to or greater than 50 Mbit/s, the inbound bandwidth is throttled and equals the outbound bandwidth.
Log in to the Kingsoft Cloud NAT console.
Click Create NAT. On the NAT page, specify parameters such as Line Type, Billing Mode, Bandwidth, and Name, and click Buy Now.
On the Confirm Order page, click Submit Order.
Log in to the Kingsoft Cloud NAT console.
Select the NAT gateway that you want to renew in the NAT gateway list, and click Renew.
On the NAT Renew page, specify Renewed Duration and click Buy Now. You can renew a NAT gateway for up to 36 months.
On the Confirm Order page, click Submit Order.
Note: You can renew only public NAT gateways in subscription mode.
Log in to the Kingsoft Cloud NAT console.
Select the NAT gateway for which you want to adjust the bandwidth in the NAT gateway list, and click Adjust Bandwidth. On the NAT Adjust Bandwidth page, specify Bandwidth and click Pay Now.
On the Confirm Order page, click Submit Order.
Log in to the Kingsoft Cloud NAT console.
Select a NAT gateway in the NAT gateway list, and click the Traffic Statistics(All) or Traffic Statistics(Public Network) tab.
Log in to the Kingsoft Cloud NAT console. Select the NAT gateway that you want to delete in the NAT gateway list, and click Delete.
The message "Deleted successfully." appears, indicating that the NAT gateway is deleted.
