Renewal and upgrade

Renewal

Renewal is supported only on WAF instances of the yearly or monthly settlement billing mode.

To renew a WAF instance:

  1. Log in to the WAF console.
  2. Select the target WAF instance on the list.
  3. Click Renew.
  4. Set the renewal period.

    The maximum duration is 36 months.

  5. Click Buy Now and submit the order.

Note that when a WAF instance expires, the system will retain the instance data for seven days, in which duration you can renew the instance as needed. If the instance is not renewed in time, it will be released and cannot be renewed.

Upgrade

To upgrade the configuration of a WAF instance:

  1. Log in to the WAF console.
  2. Select the target WAF instance on the list.
  3. Click Upgrade.
  4. Set the new configuration.

    • For an SLB_WAF instance, you can upgrade the protection package and domain packages.
    • For a cloud WAF instance, you can upgrade the protection package, domain packages, and business bandwidth.
    • If the instance is Advanced Edition, you can upgrade it to Enterprise Edition.
  5. Click Upgrade and submit the order.

Downgrade

To downgrade the configuration of a WAF instance:

  1. Log in to the WAF console.
  2. Select the target WAF instance on the list.
  3. Click Downgrade.
  4. Set the new configuration.

    • For an SLB_WAF instance, you can reduce the number of domain packages.
    • For a cloud WAF instance, you can reduce the number of domain packages and business bandwidth.

    Note that:

    • The minimum number of downgraded domain packages is 1.
    • The edition cannot be downgraded.
  5. Click Downgrade and submit the order.
