The following table describes the procedure for starting video on demand (VoD) transcoding.
| Step | Description |

| 1 | Activate the Kingsoft Cloud Standard Storage Service (KS3) service and create one or more buckets. For more information, see Activate the KS3 service. |
| 2 | Configure a bucket policy. For more information, see Bucket policy. |
| 3 | Activate the KMCT service. |
| 4 | Integrate the VoD transcoding SDK. For more information, see the SDK manual. |
| 5 | Configure a transcoding preset. For more information, see Presets. |
| 6 | Start a VoD transcoding task. For more information, see CreateTask. |
Note: Contact your business representative to active KS3 and KMCT in Step 1 and Step 3. If you have questions about the other steps, contact the technical support.
