The following table describes the procedure for starting live transcoding.
| Step | Description |

| 1 | Activate Kingsoft Cloud Live Service (KLS). For more information, see KLS documentation. |
| 2 | Activate Kingsoft Cloud Media Cloud Transcoder (KMCT). By default, transcoding is triggered when stream pulling starts. To enable transcoding upon stream pushing, you need to submit an application for activation. |
| 3 | Integrate the live transcoding SDK. For more information, see the SDK manual. |
| 4 | Configure a live transcoding preset. For more information, see Presets. |
| 5 | Configure the pull stream URL for transcoded streams. For more information, see Pull stream URL. |
| 6 | Start live transcoding. |
Note: Contact your business representative to active KSL and KMCT in Step 1 and Step 2. If you have questions about the other steps, contact the technical support.
