Peering among multiple VPCs

1. Prerequisites

VPC1, VPC2, and VPC3 do not overlap in CIDR blocks.

2. Procedure

Peering connection from VPC1 to VPC3

  1. Create peering connection 1 between VPC1 and VPC2, and peering connection 2 between VPC1 and VPC3.

  2. Create a route in VPC1, set the destination CIDR block to that of VPC3 (10.8.0.0/16), and then set the next hop to peering connection 1.

  3. Create a route in VPC2, set the destination CIDR block to that of VPC3 (10.8.0.0/16), and then set the next hop to peering connection 2.

Peering connection from VPC3 to VPC1

  1. Create a route in VPC3, set the destination CIDR block to that of VPC1 (10.6.0.0/16), and then set the next hop to peering connection 2.

  2. Create a route in VPC2, set the destination CIDR block to that of VPC1 (10.6.0.0/16), and then set the next hop to peering connection 1.
