Remove an IAM user from an IAM group

This topic describes how to remove an IAM user from an IAM group.

Method 1: Remove an IAM user from a group on the Subusers page

  1. Log in to the IAM console.
  2. In the left navigation pane, choose Identities > Subusers. The Subusers page appears.
  3. Click the name of the target IAM user.
  4. On the User details page, click the Joined group tab.
  5. Find the target group and click Revoke in the Actions column.
  6. In the message that appears, click Confirm.

Method 2: Remove an IAM user from a group on the Groups page

  1. Log in to the IAM console.
  2. In the left navigation pane, choose Identities > Groups. The Groups page appears.
  3. Click the name of the target group.
  4. Click the Group Members tab. Find the target IAM user and click Move out user group in the Actions column.
  5. In the message that appears, click Confirm.
