Elasticsearch is a distributed search and analysis engine that is built on Lucene and supports RESTful APIs. Elasticsearch features low memory consumption, fast search, and strong scalability. It provides near-real-time storage, search, and analysis features that allow you to manage ultra-large datasets.

Kingsoft Cloud Elasticsearch Service (KES) is a low-cost, highly available, cloud-based, and fully managed Elasticsearch service built on open source Elasticsearch. It is integrated with Elasticsearch 5.6.16, 6.8.4, and 7.4.2, Kibana, and common plug-ins. Based on the compatibility and openness that are inherited from Elasticsearch, KES provides enterprise-class security control, monitoring and alarming, and abundant cluster management features. KES supports a variety of computing specifications and storage media. KES allows you to quickly deploy, flexibly upgrade, easily manage, and safely use the Elasticsearch service. KES applies to a variety of business scenarios, such as search platform, log analysis, and performance monitoring. KES provides the following features:

Data collection and synchronization

  • You can use Beats to send data to KES for storage. You can also use Beats to send data to Logstash for custom conversion and parsing before you send the data to KES.
  • KES provides easy-to-use RESTful APIs. You can develop your own clients and call the data storage API to store data to KES clusters.

Data storage

  • KES supports a variety of models and storage media to meet the requirements in different business scenarios. This reduces your costs while effectively ensuring data read/write performance. KES supports hot/cold data isolation and read/write splitting.
  • KES supports elastic scaling that allows you to scale your cluster to hundreds of nodes for storing PBs of data.
  • KES can detect and replace faulty nodes to ensure high availability of clusters.

Visualized data search and analysis

  • KES provides abundant search features, such as full-text search, structured search, data filtering, and metric statistics collection, for various scenarios of information search and data analysis.
  • KES provides easy-to-use RESTful APIs and clients in various languages, helping you easily build your own search services.
  • Kibana allows you to easily search for and analyze cluster data in a browser.
