You can add IAM users with the same functions to the same group. Then, you can attach policies to the group to assign permissions to these IAM users. This improves permission management efficiency.
After a policy is attached to a group, all of the IAM users in this group will obtain the permissions described by the policy.

Create a group

A Kingsoft Cloud account or an authorized IAM user can create groups under the Kingsoft Cloud account. The procedure is as follows:

  1. Log in to the Kingsoft Cloud console (new version) with your Kingsoft Cloud account or as an authorized IAM user.
  2. Choose Products and Services > Monitor and Management > IAM. In the left navigation pane, choose Identities > Groups. Click Create Group. The Create Group pane appears, as shown in the following figure.

  1. Enter a group name and click Next to create the group.

You can attach policies to the group immediately after the group is created.

View group information

You can view the information about a group under the current Kingsoft Cloud account. The procedure is as follows:

  1. Log in to the Kingsoft Cloud console (new version) with your Kingsoft Cloud account or as an authorized IAM user.
  2. Choose Products and Services > Monitor and Management > IAM. In the left navigation pane, choose Identities > Groups. The Groups page appears. You can find a list of groups on this page, as shown in the following figure.

  1. Find the target group and click Details in the Actions column. The Details page for the group appears, which consists of the Group Information section and the following tabs:
    Permissions and Group Members. You can click a tab to view the detailed information.

Attach policies to a group

A Kingsoft Cloud account or an authorized IAM user can attach policies to a group. The procedure is as follows:

  1. Log in to the Kingsoft Cloud console (new version) with your Kingsoft Cloud account or as an authorized IAM user.
  2. Choose Products and Services > Monitor and Management > IAM. In the left navigation pane, choose Identities > Groups. On the Groups page, find the target group and click Details in the Actions column to go to the Details page. Click the Permissions tab and then attach policies to or detach policies from the group.

Add members to a group

You can add or remove IAM users to or from a group according to real changes in your organization. All members in a group share the same permissions. An IAM user obtains the permissions immediately after it is added to a group.
The procedure is as follows:

  1. Log in to the Kingsoft Cloud console (new version) with your Kingsoft Cloud account or as an authorized IAM user.
  2. Choose Products and Services > Monitor and Management > IAM. In the left navigation pane, choose Identities > Groups.
  3. On the Groups page, find the target group and click Details in the Actions column to go to the Details page.
  4. Click the Group Members tab and then click Add Group Members. The Add Group Members dialog box appears, where you can select multiple IAM users to add them to the group, as shown in the following figure.
