An IAM user is an identity object to which the permissions under a Kingsoft Cloud account are assigned. Kingsoft Cloud supports the lifecycle management of IAM users. You can manage permissions by creating IAM users and attaching different policies to them.

Create an IAM user

A Kingsoft Cloud account or an authorized IAM user can create IAM users under the Kingsoft Cloud account. The procedure is as follows:

  1. Log in to the Kingsoft Cloud console (new version) with your Kingsoft Cloud account or as an authorized IAM user.
  2. Choose Products and Services > Monitor and Management > IAM. In the left navigation pane, choose Identities > Subusers. The Subusers page appears.
  3. On the Subusers page, click Create User. The Create User page appears, as shown in the following figure.

Note: When you delete an IAM user in the console, its associated policies, groups, AccessKeys, and login settings will be deleted at the same time.

View IAM user information

You can view the information about an IAM user under the current Kingsoft Cloud account.

  3. On the Subusers page, click the username of an IAM user to go to the User details page.
  4. The User details page consists of the User Info section and the following tabs:
Safety management, Permissions, Joined group, Joined project, and Message management. You can click a tab to view the detailed information.

Change the display name of an IAM user

You can change the display name of an IAM user.
