Create an AccessKey

You can create an AccessKey for your Kingsoft Cloud account. The procedure is as follows:

  1. Log in to the Kingsoft Cloud console (new version) with your Kingsoft Cloud account and password.
  2. Move the pointer over your username in the top navigation bar and select Accesskeys, as shown in the following figure.

  1. On the AK key management page that appears, view the current AccessKeys of the account on the AK key tab. A Kingsoft Cloud account can have up to two AccessKeys. If the number of existing AccessKeys has not reached the maximum, you can click New key to generate a new AccessKey.

  2. Click New key. The Risk warning dialog box appears, as shown in the following figure.

  1. Click Continue to use. An AccessKey is generated. You can click View AccessKey Details to view the AccessKeyID and SecretAccessKey pair of the AccessKey or click Download to save them to your local computer.

Note: For security reasons, you can only view or download the AccessKeyID and SecretAccessKey pair of an AccessKey once, which is right after it is created. If you did not view or download the AccessKey information after it is created, you cannot view the information again. In this case, the only solution is to delete the AccessKey and generate a new one.

Disable or enable an AccessKey

The AccessKey of a Kingsoft Cloud account can be used to call any APIs with no authorization needed. Therefore it is important to keep it safe and secure. However, sometimes even the best precaution fails. To prevent the loss of your virtual property that can result from intentional or accidental leakage of your AccessKey, Kingsoft Cloud allows you to control whether an AccessKey can be used. Namely, you can disable or enable an AccessKey. The procedure is as follows:

  1. Log in to the Kingsoft Cloud console (new version) with your Kingsoft Cloud account and password.
  2. Move the pointer over your username in the top navigation bar and select Accesskeys. The AK key management page appears.
  3. On the AK key tab, find the target AccessKey and click Disabled or Enabled in the Actions column to disable or enable the AccessKey, as shown in the following figure.
